Community Project Deir El-Ahmar
Artichouse-lb and DAJH architects, exclusive distributors for Artichouse log homes from Finland, and the Women's association of Deir El-Ahmar (WADA) have conducted a community project in the the area of Deir El-Ahmar involving the empowerment of women and the development of youth skills.
Artichouse-lb have closely worked with neighboring schools in order to recruit and teach young people to the skills of wood building. The five log homes and the food market installed have enabled the involvement of the community in many ways such as lodging, food, site workers, exposure and skill development. This project is backed up by the European Union.
