Raising the Roof
There are no essential differences between the restaurant design on the families dedicated ground floor and that on the upper floor, where single patrons come to chill. And this is where the real action happens – you’ve got a closed terrace with a roof as well as an open terrace. The closed terrace boasts of a mobile roof structure that opens and closes by remote manipulation. With a majestic exterior arch that serves to up the arabesque drama, it is made of three structures, each of which unveils independently from the other. Hands solicited the help of an automation systems engineer to create this complex unending translucent ceiling, which smacks layer upon layer of fixed steel columns, movable patterned metallic panels and movable oak wood planks.
